Chrystal Mazzotta
DMA (Dance Masters of America), IADA (International Academy of Dance Adjudicators),
Society of Russian Ballet

Chrystal Mazzotta has been dancing since her first steps. At the young age of two she began her formal dance life with Ballet. At five years old she began taking her Ballet exams and continued to progress through them until the age of sixteen. Her love of dance quickly flourished and just a couple of years after starting Ballet, Chrystal was introduced to Jazz and Tap, and a few years after that, Lyrical, Hip Hop and Acro. Training at some of the top studios in North America, she excelled in these forms of dance winning many titles and appearing on numerous television shows. At the age of sixteen, Chrystal taught and choreographed her first class. This rewarding experience encouraged her to keep teaching and choreographing as she took her own advanced dance classes. After high school, Chrystal decided to continue her dance education at Randolph Academy of the Performing Arts where her classes expanded to included vocals and acting.

Dance was always Chrystal’s first love and therefore, to share her knowledge and passion, she decided to take the route of teacher/choreographer. Going through Dance Masters of America to become a certified dance instructor, she also expanded to become a certified adjudicator through IADA (International Academy of Dance Adjudicators), judging countless competitions including national finals. Understanding that dance is a constant learning, changing, evolving art form, Chrystal continues to take classes under top choreographers across Canada and the United States. Since 2001, Chrystal has accumulated numerous awards for outstanding choreography. Her choreography continues to win overall titles, and she continues to be a sought after choreographer for master classes throughout Canada and the United States. Her students have been well trained and many have excelled in dance, continuing on to dance institutes, touring with cruise ships, and dance teams such as the Toronto Argos Cheerleaders; some even becoming up and coming choreographers themselves! Chrystal is beyond proud of all her students and could not be happier owning EDS.
